Green Features
I’m a green builder and ecological designer. When I first saw the property I knew I was in for a lot of work, but was immediately struck by the potential for creating a model of sustainability and community; in short, an ecovillage. Over the years I’ve renovated as green as possible and have incorporated a lot of green features, such as solar, graywater systems, energy efficient appliances, low-VOC finishes, rooftop garden, etc.

This rooftop garden can replace the footprint of earth taken up by the building itself, taking advantage of lots of good Oakland sunshine with few obstructions.
