Tour 611EcoVillage
There are two buildings, the Main House and the Carriage House, joined by a courtyard where there are plants, trellises, lots of sunlight and a solar-heated hot tub. The courtyard is the gathering place, the lobby, as it were. The Main House, a corner building, had a retail space with its own rich history.
The Carriage House has two bedrooms, it’s own kitchen and access to a rooftop deck bathed in Oakland’s good sunlight, with container gardens and furniture. This building also has the high-security bike shed in the ground level, and a yoga/music room on the top floor.

There is a feeling of Oakland’s history in the common spaces.

The details were preserved, despite years of change. This fireplace is in the dining room.

Each bedroom is unique and full of character. The bright colored paints are low VOC.

This recently renovated bathroom is in the Carriage House.

A view from the courtyard.

The freeway is a kinetic sculpture!
